What about becoming a paid shopper? Sounds like fun - imagine being paid to shop You can become a mystery shopper for one of the large retail companies or work for a couple of them at the same time. You will be paid by the hour while you are shopping in any given store.
What would your duties entail?
Many large retail stores are hiring mystery shoppers to report back to them on the customer care skills of their employees. This helps them to ensure top quality service and customer care in their stores at all times. Management will be able to address the problems the mystery shopper identifies and be able to improve on the image of the store.
Mystery shoppers will not only identify staff problems, but stock and display problems as well. It will be up to the mystery shopper to see if for instance some goods are displayed out of reach for certain people or that prices are not displayed clearly, or anything else that makes shopping in a particular store inconvenient in any way for shoppers.
You as the mystery shopper would visit stores in various disguises so that you will not become known to the staff in any particular department of a store. This does not mean that you will wear "costumes" you will wear different outfits, wigs and makeup so that you blend in with the crowd, and do not stand out, so that staff members of any particular store can easily recognize you. You will then be treated as any other customer in the store.
You can also get paid for eating at certain restaurants and even for visiting amusement parks in your area.
